The Parkcrest Elementary Leadership students are organizing a Food Drive to support the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The Food Bank supports many families and individuals in our community by providing healthy foods and other essentials. There are two ways you can contribute to our food drive – by donating money via the virtual food drive (https://foodbank.bc.ca/ways-to-give/virtual-food-drives/ ) and bringing in non-perishable items.
PLEASE NOTE that ONLY FOUR items are being collected: dry pasta (NOT Kraft Dinner or anything similar – just dry pasta), canned salmon or tuna, ‘meal in a can’ soups (like chunky beef stew) and diapers. Donations will be collected until Wednesday, December 14th (including the winter evening event).
Students are also encouraged to bring in a food donation OR a loonie to watch the volleyball games (Staff vs. Students) on Tuesday and Wednesday at lunchtime. All contributions will be added to the Food Drive.
