This Friday, September 27th, we will be Orange Shirt Day at Parkcrest. By wearing orange shirts, we are reminding us of all of what happened to over 150 000 Indigenous children in Canada for over a hundred years, including here in British Columbia. Their culture was taken away from them. They were not allowed to speak their own language, take part in any Indigenous ceremonies, activities, or cultural events. We are encouraging everyone to wear an orange shirt on Friday to show your support and respect for Indigenous Culture.
