Spirit Week at Parkcrest

We hope all the students enjoy the Winter Spirit Week activities we have planned this year!  Thanks for your support at home to encourage school spirit and to bring joy and smiles to everyone at school.

  • Monday, Dec. 13th – “Buddy Match Jigsaw Challenge”Students will be given half a Christmas card at recess, then challenged to go find the student who has the other half of their Christmas card.  Together, they will show their completed card to a staff member, introduce their ‘buddy,’ and receive a small, individually wrapped treat.
  • Tuesday, December 14th – “Wear your Ugly Christmas Sweater to School Day”If your child does not have an ugly Christmas sweater, that is okay, they can creatively make one, or wear green and red stripes instead.
  • Wednesday, December 15th – “Anything But a Backpack Day” – Your child can use anything they want to bring their supplies to school. Some examples are a Santa sack, a stocking, a garbage bag, or a basket. Please note: Your child must be able to carry it! It cannot be a wagon, or anything that you push, pull or drive.
  • Thursday, December 16th – “Pajama Day” – This is a Parkcrest classic. Your child can wear their pajamas to school. They could also just wear some comfy clothes like jogging pants and a sweatshirt. Sadly, because of Covid-19, we will not be able to have the Pancake Breakfast like we normally do. However, this afternoon we will get to sit back, relax and enjoy the Christmas Concert on Zoom and play Bingo over the PA!
  • Friday, December 17th – “Where’s WaldELF?”A Waldo character will be hidden in your child’s classroom (dressed up as an elf), and the class will need to try to find him.  A healthy treat will be provided for all classes once WaldELF is found.
